PHILADELPHIA (May 8, 2019) – Center City District SIPS has redefined the happy hour scene in Philadelphia. This June 5 through August 28, more than 80 bars and restaurants will once again open their doors to thousands of thirsty Sippers looking to celebrate summer in the city. Among those locations, three venues offer an experience unlike the others. Dilworth Park, Cret Park and Sister Cities Park are all included in this year’s promotion.

These Center City District parks are home to unique and locally run cafes that will offer half-price appetizers, $6 EFFEN Vodka specialty cocktails, $5 wine and $4 beer from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. on Wednesday nights throughout the season. Their individual specials and entertainment will include:

Center City District SIPS at Dilworth Park presented by EFFEN:

Surrounded by the shadow of City Hall, the Dilworth Park Café is located among the hustle and bustle of downtown Philadelphia. Summer favorites like Victory Summer Love and trendy cocktails, including $6 EFFEN Vodka and Hornitos tequila specials, will be served on the outdoor patio. Half-price appetizers, $5 wine and $4 ice-cold Bud Light cans will also be offered.  

Each week, a local DJ will spin until 8:30 p.m. That lineup includes:

Conveniently located atop SEPTA’s underground concourse, the Dilworth Park Café is a great option for commuters and travelers looking to enjoy a drink without going far. On select evenings, the Temple University Alumni Association will host Temple Takeovers featuring additional Temple-themed cocktails and drink discounts, as well as a chance to mix and mingle with fellow “Owls.”

Center City District SIPS at Cret Park:

Tucked away among the foliage and artistry at Cret Park, Capriccio Café & Bar is a quiet spot for friendly Sippers. Housed in a glass pavilion with outdoor seating, the venue will offer fun, yet sophisticated food and beverage specials, such as $6 EFFEN Vodka cocktails and half-priced appetizers. Guests looking to escape the wrath of city swelter can stop by for a quick drink or unwind after work without the hoopla of larger locations. This neighborhood staple will become your go-to happy hour hangout.

Cret Park is located at 16th St & the Benjamin Franklin Pkwy (110 N 16th St), Philadelphia, PA 19102.

Center City District SIPS at Sister Cities Park: 

The newly opened Sister Cities Café is a one-stop-shop for drinks, grub and relaxation. Offering everything from coffee to cocktails, this gourmet eatery has indoor and outdoor seating, a green roof and massive glass windows. Sister Cities Park, located on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, is famous for its kid-friendly amenities, such as the Earth Fountain and the Children’s Discovery Garden and Boat Pond.

Parents familiar with the spot will love this season’s SIPS specials, which include $6 EFFEN Vodka cocktails, $5 wine, and $4 Bud Light beer. Neighbors and tourists will enjoy the café’s laidback digs, a refreshing option compared to more energetic venues.
