Center City District (CCD), a nationally recognized business improvement district, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Public Safety to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight in a complex urban environment, serving the Center City Philadelphia community.

This executive position is responsible for directing CCD’s Public Safety, Community Service Representative (CSR), and Homeless Outreach operations. The Vice President of Public Safety will lead efforts to ensure the safety, security, preparedness, and well-being of workers, residents, visitors, businesses, and community members while upholding the highest standards of public service, accountability, and professionalism.

As a highly visible senior leader, this individual will serve as a trusted representative of the organization, working collaboratively with CCD’s leadership team, elected and appointed officials, public safety agencies, labor representatives, community organizations, business leaders, residents, and other key stakeholders. The successful candidate will foster strong partnerships, drive operational excellence, and promote innovative solutions that enhance public safety and quality of life throughout the District.

The position of Event Operations Team Lead coordinates and supports both large- and small-scale public events within the Center City District. This role is responsible for overseeing event preparation, execution, and post-event operations, serving as an on-site lead to ensure timelines, safety standards, and operational expectations are met. During periods without scheduled events, the Team Lead will support the Parks Operations team with preventive maintenance and park improvement projects.

Center City District is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician, to assist with the operation and maintenance of four parks, three cafes, fountains, and ponds the CCD owns or manages in Center City Philadelphia and also the management of the streetscape and public environment and set up and breakdown of events.

Work schedules include weekend days and may vary by season. Flexibility in availability is a requirement of this position.
