PHILADELPHIA (January 17, 2020): Visitors to the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink can ice skate for free throughout the month of February, courtesy of Capital One. Free in February presented by Capital One begins on Saturday, February 1 and runs through Sunday, February 23, when the ice rink closes for the winter season.

The Capital One team will be at the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink during Superhero Skate on Saturday, January 18 with the first round of complimentary passes, taking superhero-style photos and hosting fun activities like a financial obstacle course for the saving-savvy. From 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., kids and their families will have a blast meeting their favorite heroes on and off of the ice. The first 150 children will receive a free cape. All guests are encouraged to come in costume.

Starting January 20, the Free in February passes will be available for visitors to pick up at the Capital One Café at a 135 S. 17th Street. They will not be offered at any other location. Skate rental is not included.

"Capital One is proud to return for our third season sponsoring the Rothman Ice Rink and we're particularly excited about the upcoming Free in February promotion,” said Andrew Winninger, Local Market Manager for Capital One. “Our Capital One Cafes provide a welcoming environment to customers and non-customers alike and we invite you to come experience how we're bringing Banking Reimagined to Philadelphia, warm up with your favorite Peet's beverage and pick up your free skate passes during the month of February."
