Complimentary return passes for skaters at the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink, thanks to Free in February sponsored by Temple University

PHILADELPHIA (January 21, 2022) — Skaters who purchase a ticket for Dilworth Park’s popular Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink during the month of February are eligible to receive a pass at the end of their session for a complimentary return visit later that month, courtesy of “Free in February” sponsored by Temple University.

While Free in February has been part of Dilworth Park’s winter programming for several years, and Temple is a season-long winter sponsor of the rink, this is the university’s first year sponsoring this promotion. As part of its mission to support neighboring communities, Temple’s Office of Community Affairs will provide complimentary ice rink passes to a number of organizations near the North Philadelphia campus.

“Temple University is proud to support the Rothman Ice Rink at Dilworth Park and we're particularly excited about the upcoming Free in February promotion,” said Andrea Swan, Acting Assistant Vice President of Temple University’s Office of Community Affairs. “The rink is a main attraction for friends and families across Philadelphia. We are happy to play a role in ensuring that more of our neighbors in the city will be able to visit and make memories.”

Visit dilworthpark.org/freeinfebruary to learn more. The Free in February offer is subject to available skating timeslots and skate rental is not included.

CCD and park food operations follow the City of Philadelphia’s health guidelines, including proof of COVID-19 vaccination required to eat indoors at the Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin effective January 3. Visit phila.gov to learn more. Masks are required indoors when ordering food to go. Center City District, café and rink staff will offer free masks to anyone who requests one.
The winter season at Dilworth Park is presented by the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute, Temple University and 6abc. All programs are weather permitting and subject to change. Dilworth Park is located at 1 S. 15th St., on the west side of City Hall.
