City Hall becomes a wonderland of lights and music this winter!

PHILADELPHIA (October 17, 2019): The Deck the Hall Light Show presented by Independence Blue Cross will once again illuminate Dilworth Park this holiday season. Produced with support from the Center City District and 6abc, this annual display of lights and music will premiere on Monday, November 25 and run through January 1, 2020.

Created by Philadelphia-based art and design studio, Klip Collective, the show will run daily from 5:30 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. This season’s schedule is as follows:

Nov. 25 (Opening Night): every 30 minutes

                               Friday-Saturday, every 30 minutes

Dec. 22-Jan.1: Daily, every 30 minutes

“The holidays are a special time for our community and we’re proud to be a part of this Center City celebration of lights and sound,” says President & General Manager of 6abc, Bernie Prazenica.  “The Deck the Hall Light Show gets better each year and we can’t wait to see what the creative producers have in store for us this year.”

“We are excited to help bring the holiday magic of the Deck the Hall Light Show to residents and visitors alike,” said Daniel J. Hilferty, Independence Blue Cross President and CEO. “As a company committed to the health and well-being of our community for 80 years, we encourage everyone to head to City Hall for the light show, stroll through the Holiday Market and Wintergarden, and surround yourself with the warmth and spirit of the season.”

“We want to thank 6abc and Independence Blue Cross for providing the generous support to bring the Deck the Hall Light Show back to Dilworth Park for a third year,” said Paul R. Levy, President and CEO of Center City District.

The light show is one of the many Dilworth Park attractions this winter. Visitors can enjoy it while skating on the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink or savoring seasonal fare from the Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin. The Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn presented by TD Bank is perfect for exploring while sipping a mulled wine, while the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market offers a festive shopping experience for locally crafted gifts.
