FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PHILADELPHIA (May 3, 2022): Center City District SIPS is back after a two-year hiatus with weekly discounts at dozens of local bars and restaurants on Wednesday nights throughout the District. This unique happy hour program brings back the opportunity for returning office workers to explore all that Center City has to offer once the work day ends.
Beginning June 1 and continuing every Wednesday evening through August 31, participating locations will provide $6 cocktails, $5 wine, $4 beer and half-priced appetizers from 4:30 p.m.-7 p.m., which include specialty cocktails made with Hornitos Tequila. Center City District SIPS attendees are encouraged to remain after happy hour ends to enjoy 15% off of dinner at participating restaurants.
As return-to-office efforts expand, so does CCD’s support of Center City retailers. This year, in addition to standard SIPS specials, select boutiques, spas and local shops will participate in SIPS Style, a weekly discount program that will offer 25% off select items and services on Wednesdays throughout the season. Whether shopping for day-to-night fashion, freshening up at a salon before happy hour or searching for the perfect pair of summer sandals, coming into the office will have perks for everyone. Explore SIPS Style locations at centercityphila.org/ccdsips.
Center City District SIPS at Dilworth Park presented by Hornitos Tequila also returns this year with a new layout and pop-up décor. The space outside of historic City Hall will be reminiscent of a retro pool party, including festively decorated seating areas, live DJ entertainment and an immersive photo experience to match the park’s colorful summertime aesthetic. The Air Grille Garden will offer $6 Hornitos Tequila and new Truly-flavored Vodka cocktails, $5 wine and $4 Michelob Ultra, plus half-priced appetizers. Bud Light Seltzer will also be featured. The park’s festive overlay will only be set up on Wednesday nights during the SIPS season, so visitors are encouraged to stop by before it’s gone.
