Philadelphia, PA (June 9, 2016) – Center City District is kicking off summer in the city with an All-American BBQ at Dilworth Park, complete with games, grilling, and great tunes from Wednesday, June 15 to Sunday, June 19. The five-day red-white-and-blue festival will tip off summer in the heart of Philadelphia with activities for all ages. Guests can enjoy the fountains at Dilworth Park, and stay to play foosball, corn hole, ladder ball, and mini golf all weekend for free.
Get a sneak peak of the menu at the new Air Grille at Dilworth Park Café, a retro-inspired grill coming to the park just in time for the event, where chefs from Brûlée Catering will cook up summer staples available for purchase. Hotdogs, burgers, smoked brisket, falafel burger, and corn on the cob will be sizzling on the grill. The grand opening for Dilworth Park Café and Air Grille will be Wednesday, June 22 with lots of goodies and a special retro-beach-inspired Center City District Sips at Dilworth.
The Budweiser Pop-Up Bar will stop at the BBQ and have the Budweiser AMERICA cans for sale, and feature mounted TVs offering the opportunity to watch sporting events while enjoying this outdoor event. Picnic goers can also purchase a variety of brews, including Goose Island IPA, Troegs Sunshine Pils, Stella Cidre, Victory Summer Love, Cage Radler, and Fat Tire. All ages may enter the beer garden area, but must present ID and be 21 or over to consume alcoholic beverages.
Saturday afternoon will feature a pet costume contest for patriotic pooches who will win a prize for the best red, white, and blue ensemble.
