The next generation of directional signage
Insights gathered this summer about placement, design, and usage of the working prototype will directly shape the permanent system of signs, maps, and information interventions for pedestrians to better envision and plan their journeys, navigate at street level with ease and confidence. CCD, working with Visit Philadelphia, selected City ID to develop a comprehensive system over the next three years. Pictured is an early rendering of the next generation of directional signs that we are actively fundraising towards.
30 years of experience
In 1997, CCD launched what was then Philadelphia’s most expansive pedestrian wayfinding network in Center City. Over the decades that followed, CCD designed, installed and maintained the ever-expanding network. This extensive experience has made CCD uniquely qualified to transform the system into a more robust, accessible network directional of signs that is able to meet the needs of a contemporary city.
