Arts on Center Stage: Liberty City Arts

Philadelphia’s diverse arts and cultural organizations perform shows ranging from orchestral music and ballet ensembles to jazz instrumentals and more. Attendance is free. Seating on the Greenfield Lawn is limited and guests are encouraged to bring their own blanket or chair.

Don’t miss Liberty City Arts’ first appearance at Dilworth Park! Set against the backdrop of Philadelphia’s iconic City Hall — a landmark at the heart of the city since its completion in 1901 — this free 55-minute concert celebrates 250 years of Philadelphia’s extraordinary musical heritage. Tracing the city’s influence from the first American art song composed in Philadelphia in 1776 through the Academy of Music’s operatic golden age and the enduring legacy of the Curtis Institute with works by Samuel Barber and Leonard Bernstein, this program brings centuries of Philadelphia’s musical history to life. Featuring Rachael Long (soprano), Amanda Staub (mezzo-soprano), Samual Keeler (tenor), Zach Angus (baritone), and pianist Reese Rivak, this engaging outdoor performance offers an evening of soaring voices, beloved music, and the stories that make Philadelphia a city of song.
