Center City District's dedicated outreach specialists provide compassionate support to connect chronically unhoused people in downtown Philadelphia with shelter, medical care and other services.
Outreach Partnership
To address panhandling and homelessness on Center City sidewalks, CCD funds and deploys an innovative outreach initiative that includes a unique partnership with Project HOME and the Philadelphia Police Department, with strong support from the City of Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health. The program is based on the principle that complex social problems require an interdisciplinary approach, using a “co-delivery” model of service.
Businesses, residents, and the public can alert our teams to locations or individuals needing outreach by emailing outreach@centercityphila.org.

"I want to thank you for not giving up on me. You never let it go. I’ve moved on to the next step; I have a part time job, I got cleaned up, I have an apartment in South Philadelphia, and I’m presently going to school to be a chiropractor. I just want you to know, you mean a lot to me.”
