PHILADELPHIA (October 14, 2026) — Center City District (CCD) announced details today for Dilworth Park’s annual winter conversion, beginning Friday, November 13, with the return of the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and Cabin, the Wintergarden and the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market.

Positioned beside historic City Hall, Dilworth Park is one of Philadelphia’s most popular public spaces year-round, with a record 12.9 million visitors in 2025. During the holiday season, it becomes a festive destination for residents and visitors alike, all steps from Center City’s premier shopping, dining and arts and cultural venues.

The park is home to Philadelphia’s only downtown seasonal skating rink. The Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and Cabin are open daily from November 13 through February 21. Rink admission is $8 for children 10 and younger and $10 for adults, and skate rentals are $11. Groups of 10 or more receive discounts. Tickets for timed, 90-minute sessions and locker rentals are on sale now at centercityphila.org/rink.

The Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin features a full bar, banquet seating and TVs for game days. The kitchen serves comfort-food classics for lunch and dinner, and the bar pours craft cocktails made with Basil Hayden® bourbon for guests 21 and over, along with Sam Adams Lager, canned cocktails, including –196, and wine. Free fire pits warm the outdoor terrace. For private rental packages, contact rentals@centercityphila.org.

The Wintergarden on the Albert M. Greenfield Lawn is an open-air oasis featuring hundreds of twinkling lights, illuminated overhead sculptures and seasonal foliage. A Chaddsford Winery kiosk within the space will sell warm mulled wine to guests 21 and over. The Wintergarden will remain open through March 28.

The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market, open through January 1, complements the neighboring Christmas Village and showcases dozens of local vendors from the Philadelphia region. Visitors can expect everything from home goods and jewelry to skincare, artwork and artisanal treats.

“Each year, the return of the Rothman Rink and Cabin marks the start of a special season for our community and reminds us of the lasting legacy of our late founder, Dr. Richard H. Rothman,” said Alexander R. Vaccaro, MD, PhD, MBA, President of Rothman Orthopaedics, Richard H. Rothman Professor and Chairman, and Professor of Neurosurgery at Thomas Jefferson University and Hospitals. “We’re proud to continue this Philadelphia tradition and create a place where families and friends can gather, remain active, and enjoy the winter season together. We’re excited to welcome the community back to the Rothman Rink and Cabin for another great season.”
