Open Streets: West Walnut - Center City District

Stroll. Shop. Socialize.

Center City District’s popular street closure program transforms eight city blocks into a car-free extension of public space for pedestrians. Cross streets remain open to cars at intersections including 15th, 16th, 17th, and 19th streets and the 1700 and 1800 blocks of Sansom Street. Open Streets: West Walnut is presented by Fulton Bank and produced with support from Rittenhouse Row and the City of Philadelphia.

Date: Sundays, September 13 – October 25
Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (9:30 a.m. start time on October 11, for the Philadelphia Eagles game)
Location: Walnut Street (Broad to 19th) & 18th Street (Chestnut to Locust)

Open Streets: West Walnut is canceled on October 11 due to inclement weather.
