Center City District Restaurant Week returns in the new year to celebrate Philadelphia’s world-class dining scene
Center City District (CCD) is preparing to launch an expanded version of last year’s homeless outreach effort that helped more than 130 individuals come off the streets and connect with needed services and shelter.

On September 28th, businesses in downtown Philadelphia will open their doors for a day of shopping, special promotions and VIP experiences for the second annual, Shop Center City Saturday, an all-day event for shoppers to explore and discover all that Center City’s retail and dining scenes has to offer.

CCD welcomes the arrival of autumn with a full lineup of free-to-attend programs starting in September at parks and public spaces across Center City, including Dilworth Park’s 10th anniversary, a hay maze and events for office workers.
The return to shopping and dining will be slow and gradual, influenced by how well and consistently businesses address public concerns about public health and safety, as well as the City of Philadelphia’s flexibility in encouraging the expanded use of public space to accommodate seating and waiting lines, according to results of a new CCD survey of Philadelphia residents.
Visitors to the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink can ice skate for free throughout the month of February, courtesy of Capital One. Free in February presented by Capital One begins on Saturday, February 1 and runs through Sunday, February 23, when the ice rink closes for the winter season.
