Center City District (CCD) seeks an excellent and enthusiastic manager of people, networks, and partnerships to serve as Vice President of Development and Partnerships and lead CCD's comprehensive fundraising and non-assessment revenue generation activities. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President will work collaboratively with senior staff and strategically with the CCD board and Central Philadelphia Development Corporation (CPDC) members to develop resources and partnerships for CCD. The successful candidate will be an externally focused, articulate and professional representative of the organization in corporate and civic settings. Center City District (CCD) is seeking an outstanding communicator and tenacious project manager to serve as Director of Development to lead all aspects of research, writing, tracking, and administration of foundation, government and corporate grants. Current priorities include the next phase of the Rail Park, CCD’s collaborative partnership for homeless outreach, the expansion of Open Streets, public art, and bringing performing arts to parks – to name a few – the Director of Development will be a have a key role in scaling CCD’s impact. The successful candidate will believe strongly in CCD’s mission of stewarding and advocating for a clean, safe, and thriving Center City Philadelphia. Reporting to the Vice President of Development and Partnerships, the Director of Development will be part of a newly formed four-member team driving CCD’s fundraising and non-assessment revenue generation activities, with other team members focused on corporate partnerships and sponsorships, individual giving appeals and management, managing corporate membership of the CPDC, and parks activations and rentals.

This position is a hands on supervisory position that will focus on the operation and maintenance of CCD’s high profile parks, CCD leased Cafes and events that occur at Dilworth Park, Sister Cities Park, Collins Park, Cret Park and 255 city blocks which are the boundaries of the CCD. Under the direction of the Director of Park Operations, the Facilities Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the operations of the maintenance associated with all of CCD assets along with monitoring/surveying to ensure that the parks and events managed by CCD are maintained to the highest standards. The Facilities Manager will also assist the Park Operations Director with the preparation of monthly reports and the management of onsite contractors after regular operating hours.
