CCD Park Event Opportunities

The Center City District seeks to commission local musicians, DJs and crafters to participate in various public programs at Dilworth Park and Sister Cities Park throughout 2020. Below is a brief description of each event. Interested applicants 21 and older should complete the Open Call submission form.

Applications will be accepted until January 31 at 3 p.m. Compensation will be discussed individually. Events are weather permitting and subject to change. CCD’s event producers will evaluate all proposals based on the experience and quality of the performers and compatibility with the goals and objectives of the event. CCD reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.   

Potential opportunities for musicians and DJs

  • Lunchtime concerts (summer)
    PNC presents Live @ Lunch (Dilworth Park, Wednesdays & Thursdays, Noon-1:30 p.m.)
    PNC presents Live @ Lunch is an outdoor concert series at Dilworth Park on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Small bands and solo performers, preferably of the jazz, R&B and singer-songwriter genres, are encouraged to apply.
     
  • Happy hour programs (summer)
    SIPS (Dilworth Park, Wednesdays, 5 p.m.-8 p.m.)
    SIPS at Dilworth Park is a summer-long Wednesday night Happy Hour with live DJ entertainment and discounted food and beverage offerings. Local DJs who wish to perform are encouraged to apply.
     
  • Thursday night concerts (summer)
    Live in Sister Cities Park (Sister Cities Park, Thursdays, 5 p.m.-8 p.m.)
    Live in Sister Cities Park is a Thursday night outdoor concert series. 1-3 piece musical acts of the singer-songwriter genre are encouraged to apply.
     
  • Friday night concerts (summer)
    Friday Night Live (Dilworth Park, Fridays, 5 p.m.-8 p.m.)
    Friday Night Live is a six-week concert series at Dilworth Park. Small bands of the rock genre are encouraged to apply.
     
  • Wednesday night concerts (fall)
    Rhythm & Brews (Dilworth Park, Wednesdays, 5 p.m.-7 p.m.)
    Rhythm & Brews is a Wednesday night concert and Happy Hour series at Dilworth Park. Small bands or solo performers of the blues genre are encouraged to apply.

    Octoberfest at Dilworth Park is a weekend-long fall fest with live DJ and band entertainment. Local musical acts and DJs of various genres are encouraged to apply.

    The Fine Art and Craft Fair brings local crafters, artists, food & beverage purveyors and more to Dilworth Park one weekend in the summer. Interested entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply.
     
  • Three day arts and craft fair (fall)
    Made in Philadelphia Fall Market (Dilworth Park, dates & times vary)
    The Made in Philadelphia Fall Market brings local crafters, artists, food & beverage purveyors and more to Dilworth Park one weekend in the fall, in conjunction with Octoberfest. Interested entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply.
     
  • Holiday market (winter)
    Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market (Dilworth Park, dates & times vary)
    The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market brings local crafters, artists, food & beverage purveyors and more to Dilworth Park during the holiday season. Interested entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply.
