Beginning this September, Center City District will introduce a full lineup of fall events at Dilworth Park, including a weekend-long Octoberfest, free concerts and the fifth anniversary of Philly’s premiere public space.

Now, as vaccination rates rise and vitality is steadily returning to the downtown and neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia, the CCD and CPDC are releasing a pair of reports which look at the past year’s challenges and track multiple indicators of recovery.
Winter traditions continue safely at Dilworth Park with the addition of Deck the Hall Holiday Lights! The newly redesigned illumination will feature festive projections on the west façade of City Hall. This unique experience will premiere on Monday, November 23 and will run through January 1, 2021.
Center City Philadelphia holds 43% of all jobs citywide with a workforce from every neighborhood in the city, with more than 100,000 being employed in the office district. This spring and summer, Center City District (CCD) will celebrate and support Center City in-office employees by hosting free, outdoor events on West Market and JFK Boulevard.
Since 2015, more people had been moving from New York City to Philadelphia than had been moving from Philadelphia to New York City, based on a CCD analysis of Census data.
The Center City District dedicated the newest addition to the Sister Cities Park World Fountain, recognizing Frankfurt am Main, Germany, as Philadelphia’s newest Sister City.
