Center City District Brings Fall Fun to Dilworth Park

Free and festive programs return to Philly’s premiere public space!

PHILADELPHIA (August 15, 2019) –Beginning this September, Center City District will introduce a full lineup of fall events at Dilworth Park, including a weekend-long Octoberfest, free concerts and the fifth anniversary of Philly’s premiere public space. This season, visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy:

Rothman Orthopaedics presents Center City Fit
Mondays & Tuesdays
Now through October 15, 6 p.m.

Center City’s favorite FREE fitness series, presented by Rothman Orthopaedics, continues to motivate participants of all skill-levels. Professional trainers from Optimal Sports Health Club 1315 Walnut will lead these sessions:

Mondays: Zumba®
Tuesdays: Cardio Kickboxing

PNC presents Live @ Lunch

Wednesdays & Thursdays
September 4 through October 17, Noon-1:30 p.m.

Philly musicians playing jazz and R&B tunes will take over Dilworth Park during this free, outdoor concert series!

This series is also proudly supported by Temple University as guests of all ages will love the unique selection of talent, which will include Temple University students and alumni on select Thursday afternoons.

The PNC Terrace will be open for parkgoers to relax, chill out and enjoy a bite during lunchtime. The PNC presents Live @ Lunch schedule is as follows:

Wednesdays
September 4 through October 16, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Soulful sounds will vibrate through the park as local blues artists serenade Dilworth Park visitors. Happy Hour offerings like $5 Jim Beam Peach Iced Tea, $6 Stella Artois and $7 wine will be available to guests 21 and older, along with delicious fall-inspired fare from the Air Grille.

Dilworth Park 5th Anniversary
Ongoing, September 4 through October 17

Center City District is excited to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Dilworth Park! Since its revitalization in 2014, tens of millions of visitors have passed through to experience a variety of free programs, amenities like the splash pad fountain and award-winning Pulse by Janet Echelman. To commemorate these milestones, guests are invited to enjoy month-long deals at the Dilworth Park Café and Air Grille, $5 gift card prizes during select park programs and much more! Octoberfest

Friday, October 11: Noon-9 p.m.
Saturday, October 12: Noon-8 p.m.
Sunday, October 13: Noon-6 p.m.

Hay bales and cornstalks and pumpkins, oh my! This fantastic 3-day festival celebrates the whimsy of autumn with all the trimmings. Seasonal foods like bratwurst will provide a taste of fall flavor, while Maker’s Mark bourbon cocktails keep the crowd warm and toasty. Seasonal craft beers like Victory Brewery’s Festbier and Goose Island will be served in the pop-up beer garden. Local bands and DJs will perform throughout the weekend on the Met Philadelphia stage. The whole family will enjoy a variety of games and activities, including pumpkin painting, a stein-hoisting contest and the fabulous Made in Philadelphia Fall Market.

Treats, trinkets and crafts galore! The Made in Philadelphia Fall Market returns to Dilworth Park for a weekend-long celebration of art and small business. Featuring a unique lineup of local artisans, visitors are encouraged to browse and buy one-of-a-kind pieces found exclusively at this diverse pop-up. 

Dilworth Park events feature entertainment on the Met Philadelphia stage and are powered by Live Nation, leaders in live entertainment.
