A new, temporary art display, Color Under the Canopy, debuts at Sister Cities Park following a two-day installation. The project was designed and executed by local artist Janell Wysock. Using a loom to knit fabric, she created colorful, eye-catching wraps to decorate some of the park’s most precious assets: its trees.

The winter installment of Center City District Restaurant Week (CCDRW) wrapped up this past Sunday, with over 90 local eateries participating in the bi-annual dining deal. Celebrations, however, are just beginning as the program looks forward to welcoming a landmark occasion this fall. In September of 2023, CCDRW will return to commemorate its 20th anniversary.

A new report from CCD/CPDC, Firing on All Cylinders: Growing Jobs and Small Business by Expanding the Traded Sector, compares Philadelphia to five other U.S. cities. It documents how Philadelphia lags in many other traded employment sectors, but suggests that if we replicate the success achieved by others and commit to steadily more competitive tax rates, we will grow more family-sustaining jobs and a prosperous network of small, local businesses.
