Beginning Monday, November 21, the west façade of Philadelphia’s historic City Hall comes to life for the 6th year with the return of the Deck the Hall Light Show presented by Independence Blue Cross in Dilworth Park. Every evening through New Year’s Day, the historical architecture of City Hall will be illuminated with the creative work of Philadelphia-based, art and design studio Klip Collective.

Water Orchestra reimagines Dilworth Park's fountain as a playful, responsive musical instrument, activated in real-time by the gestures of anyone who steps onto the conductor’s podium. The installation runs September 5 through October 3.
Starting this Friday, February 1, and for the entire month, visitors to Dilworth Park can ice skate for free thanks to Free in February, presented by Capital One. Visitors can receive a complimentary admission pass to the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink just for stopping by the Capital One Rittenhouse Café located at 135 S. 17th Street.

This new CCD/CPDC report examines the current state of the downtown restaurant and retail sectors. Using pedestrian, transit and parking occupancy counts and detailed visual surveys of almost 2,000 retail premises, conducted by CCD staff, the report provides a close-up look at business conditions, supplemented with information from the commercial office sector, employment trends, housing market data and ecommerce trends.

These small outdoor concerts at lunchtime, featuring a full lineup of musicians representing Philadelphia’s eclectic music scene, will take place from noon-1 p.m. Attendance will be free for all.
