Center City District has completed a series of streetscape enhancements to create a more welcoming and pedestrian friendly shopping experience on Jewelers’ Row.
Recovery is progressing by nearly all measures: employment, hotel occupancy, retail and restaurant sales, transit ridership, pedestrian volumes and city tax collections are all up. This winter Dilworth Park is holiday central. Rothman Institute Ice Rink and Cabin and the Philadelphia Holiday Market are back, plus the park will be turned into a Wintergarden with fun new attractions and programming.
The 2023-2027 Plan and Budget for the CCD was unanimously approved by City Council and signed into law after being overwhelmingly approved by District property owners. The CCD's focus remains on ensuring a clean, safe, attractive, well-managed public environment for downtown Philadelphia.
