Play Day at Sister Cities Park has replaced Storybook Weekend as the official kick-off celebration of the upcoming Parkway Pals season. This daylong celebration of laughter and learning will debut on Saturday, May 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Center City’s commercial core is experiencing a sustained process of recovery, with new businesses opening and existing retailers moving to new, often larger locations, according to the just-released CCD/CPDC Center City Retail Update. CCD is pleased to announce the return of Open Streets: West Walnut for its fall 2025 season, marking the program’s one-year anniversary. Following a successful inaugural year that transformed sections of Rittenhouse Row into a lively pedestrianized corridor, the series has added two additional dates this fall and will run on Sundays from September 7 through October 12.
