FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fountains, flowers, free events and fun for all ages, all season long

PHILADELPHIA (March 31, 2026) ‒ Center City District (CCD) is preparing for an exciting spring and summer season in Dilworth Park with the return of marquee programs, a new outdoor restaurant and refreshed landscaping.

The park’s fountains are open for the season with three-foot high waterspouts and space for children to splash. Its accompanying public art piece, Pulse, brings more playfulness to the space with clouds of colored steam designed to mimic SEPTA’s underground transit routes.

Dilworth Park’s new outdoor bar and restaurant also opens on Friday, March 27. The Patio, an extension of the Dilworth Park Cafe, is a relaxed space just steps from historic City Hall. Stop by for lunch, meet colleagues for happy hour, or gather friends for a casual dinner in the heart of the city.

The Patio’s menu introduces fresh takes on American favorites, including the D.P. smashburger, the Centre Square cheesesteak, and a buffalo chicken wrap. This year, CCD has partnered with Boston Beer for the spring and summer drink menus, including canned beverages from Truly. Hornitos® Tequila cocktails will also be featured.

The NRG Pitch at the Albert M. Greenfield Lawn opens Friday, April 3. The turf celebrates the world-class soccer events coming to Philadelphia this summer and provides a fun space for visitors to picnic and play.

In early April, 12,000 flower bulbs will begin to bloom at the entrance of Dilworth Park. A mix of red, white, and blue florals, including tulips and hyacinths, were planted this year for the nation’s 250th birthday. They will continue to flourish through the beginning of May.

Free programming at the park begins with the return of Center City Fit presented by Rothman Orthopaedics in April and continues through August with the Made in Philadelphia Market and Arts on Center Stage. The full schedule includes:
