Tweet It, Instagram It:  Celebrate summer! Flowing Fountains, Great Games, Cold Drinks, Hot Food  #AllAmericanBBQ #DilworthPark @ccdparks

Philadelphia, PA (June 13, 2017) – Center City District is celebrating summer in the city with an All-American BBQ at Dilworth Park, from Wednesday, June 21, to Sunday, June 25, with games, grilling, live music and hot DJs, powered by Live Nation. The five-day, red-white-and-blue festival will offer activities for all ages; guests can enjoy the fountains at Dilworth Park, as well as play cornhole, lawn games and board games all weekend for free.

Brûlée Catering will feature traditional barbecue from regions all over America. The menu highlights hometown favorites such as BBQ pulled pork sandwich with Carolina Slaw;  house pulled chicken sandwich with white BBQ sauce and pickled red onions; smoked BBQ wings with jalapeno pickled celery; roasted corn and black bean burger with heirloom tomatoes and avocado spread; and a summertime salad of local produce and cotija cheese with an avocado vinaigrette. Chefs will be serving BBQ hot off the grill made with Big Bob Gibson’s White BBQ Chicken, Lockhart Texas Brisket, Lexington Pulled Pork and St. Louis Classic Ribs.  Home cooked sides will include Cucumber and Onion Salad, Smoked Mac and Cheese, BBQ Baked Beans, Farmhouse Potato Salad and Mustang Ranch Chips.

Also, check out the red and white wine, Summertime Rocket Cocktail, Spiked Sorbet, Passion Citrus Julep, and Cider Cocktail. To quench your thirst, stop in the beer garden for a cold Bud Light or Victory Summer Love. Try a handmade cocktail featuring Effen Green Apple or Effen Blood Orange Vodka and Hornitos Tequila, a premium tequila crafted with 100% blue agave. All ages may enter the beer garden area, but must present ID and be 21 or over to consume alcoholic beverages.

On Saturday, practice adult coloring skills with a special and uniquely designed All-American BBQ coloring sheet. Don’t forget to bring the four-legged friends. 3:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon will feature a pet costume contest for patriotic pooches, with a prize for the best red, white, and blue ensemble. Special judge Leigh Siegfried, training director at Opportunity Barks will award the prize to the winner. To learn more about Opportunity Barks, visit www.opbarks.com.

Also on Saturday, guests can vote in the audience participation BBQ sauce competition to determine which Brûlée chef makes the best sauce. Everyone can taste several sauces and vote on the best one. Each person who votes will be entered to win a Budweiser BBQ Prize Pack, courtesy of Penn Beer, and the winning Brûlée Chef will win $250 in Center City restaurant gift cards – and ultimate bragging rights.
