FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PHILADELPHIA (September 29, 2020) – Beginning Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 11, Dilworth Park will celebrate the attractions of autumn during Harvest Weekend presented by Maker’s Mark. Visitors will be able to safely enjoy a variety of live entertainment, seasonal dishes and interactive décor-all in accord with City, State and CDC guidelines. Masks are mandatory at all times, except when eating or drinking. As always, attendance is free for guests of all ages.
Dilworth Park will offer four unique attractions. A family-friendly area on the Albert M. Greenfield Lawn will feature a hay maze complete with photo-worthy moments. Kids can get creative with free pumpkin painting on Saturday and Sunday afternoons beginning at 1 p.m. In the center of the park, an open-air beer garden will offer adults ample seating and a full cocktail to-go menu, featuring tasty fall beverages made with Maker’s Mark Bourbon and SQRRL Peanut Butter Whiskey, plus craft beer including Goose Island and local favorites from Troegs. Delicious seasonal dishes, like bratwurst and Bavarian pretzels, will be available for purchase. At the northern end of Dilworth Park, the PNC Terrace will offer additional seating and a front-row view of live music, with talent curated by Rec Philly, throughout the weekend. Also in that area, guests can watch as professional artists demonstrate their pumpkin carving skills. Additional entertainment, including dazzling stilt walkers and other circus performers, will wander through each area on Friday and Saturday.
The entire park will be adorned with pumpkins aplenty, tall corn stalks and hay bales, plus a large balloon wall for photo ops. Football fans are invited to watch on Sunday afternoon as the game is broadcast live on high-definition TVs.
Treats, trinkets and crafts galore! The Made in Philadelphia Fall Market will also return to Dilworth Park from October 9 through October 11 with unique booths scattered throughout the park. Support a variety of local small businesses by browsing and buying one-of-a-kind pieces found exclusively at this diverse pop-up.
