Center City East connects City Hall and Midtown Village to Independence Mall and the city’s major tourist attractions. In the next few years, large-scale retail developments in this area will add more than 1 million square feet of new retail, creating Center City’s next shopping district. Retail offerings will include some of Center City's first big box stores, along with design and independent boutiques.
