All of Dilworth Park’s popular winter attractions are returning in November. The Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink will again offer skating seven days per week, the Greenfield Lawn will host reindeer topiaries in the Wintergarden and the west facade of historic City Hall will once again be illuminated by the Deck the Hall Light Show presented by Independence Blue Cross with support from 6abc. The Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin and the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market will round out the park’s seasonal transformation.
The holiday season may have ended, but winter fun remains at Dilworth Park! Center City District (CCD) will continue to offer the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin through February 27 and the Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn presented by TD Bank will remain open until April 3. A full calendar of free events is planned for guests of all ages.
Many of the most iconic buildings and landmarks in Philadelphia will shine blue next Tuesday in honor of World Health Day and the heroic health care workers and first responders battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
A highlight of the season, Center City District Restaurant Week, sponsored by TD Bank and OpenTable, is back this September. It will run 10 consecutive days, including Saturday, for most of the 120 participating restaurants offering a variety of culinary delights.
Starting this Friday, February 1, and for the entire month, visitors to Dilworth Park can ice skate for free thanks to Free in February, presented by Capital One. Visitors can receive a complimentary admission pass to the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink just for stopping by the Capital One Rittenhouse Café located at 135 S. 17th Street.
Spring Training Returns to Dilworth Park on April 4, offering a variety of free outdoor fitness activities Tuesdays through Thursdays, until May 25.
Welcoming more than 60,000 skaters last season, the Rothman Institute Ice Rink at Dilworth Park will open Friday, November 10, 2017, with a salute to veterans.
