CCD celebrated the 10th anniversary of Dilworth Park’s transformation from a desolate concrete plaza into a welcoming, active, green public space that is now the most popular year-round amenity in the heart of Center City.
Beginning Monday, November 21, the west façade of Philadelphia’s historic City Hall comes to life for the 6th year with the return of the Deck the Hall Light Show presented by Independence Blue Cross in Dilworth Park. Every evening through New Year’s Day, the historical architecture of City Hall will be illuminated with the creative work of Philadelphia-based, art and design studio Klip Collective.

Center City District Restaurant Week began 20 years ago this September, introducing thousands of diners to a two decades-long tradition that celebrates some of the best chefs and restaurateurs in the region. Beginning Sunday, September 10 through Saturday, September 23, CCDRW returns in celebration of that milestone.
For the last two decades, Greater Center City has been the fastest growing residential section of both Philadelphia and the entire region. After a temporary dip in population, the number of downtown residents on sidewalks in Center City had rebounded to 2019 levels by the end of 2021. Rents and home sale prices held up and the number of newly-permitted residential units in both Center City and citywide reached the highest point in decades in 2021.
