With the end of winter less than a month away, Center City District (CCD) is planning for continuous outdoor entertainment with spring events and attractions in Dilworth Park, Sister Cities Park and Cret Park. The Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and Cabin are now closed for the season, but the Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn presented by TD Bank will remain open through April 3 with weekly programming for families.
The holiday season may have ended, but winter fun remains at Dilworth Park! Center City District (CCD) will continue to offer the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin through February 27 and the Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn presented by TD Bank will remain open until April 3. A full calendar of free events is planned for guests of all ages.
With Black Friday and Small Business Saturday right around the corner, the Center City District has created a list of what’s happening in the diverse shopping districts downtown.
To support the recovery of Center City retailers and restaurants, Center City District (CCD) will be promoting Shop Center City Saturdays this fall. Beginning Saturday, September 18, dozens of local businesses, as well as national brands, will offer exclusive discounts and giveaways every Saturday for 5 weeks, ending on October 16. These all-day shopping and dining promotions will be accompanied by larger-scale anchor events throughout the district.
Center City District is getting set to celebrate fall with a season-long schedule of events for the whole family at Dilworth Park. The autumn lineup, supported by The Met Philadelphia, opening in December, includes the return of perennial favorites and the addition of brand-new programming.
With temperatures telling us that summer is approaching, Center City District Parks are welcoming visitors with a full schedule of events and seasonal amenities. Beginning June 1 through the end of August, expect everything from dancing fountains and sprawling lawns to art installations and a splashing pond, plus outdoor concerts, educational programming and movies under the stars.

Center City District Restaurant Week began 20 years ago this September, introducing thousands of diners to a two decades-long tradition that celebrates some of the best chefs and restaurateurs in the region. Beginning Sunday, September 10 through Saturday, September 23, CCDRW returns in celebration of that milestone.
The holidays may be over but the wintertime activities continue at Dilworth Park until the end of February, featuring new programming for children and adults including the return of “Free in February” presented by Capital One.
