On December 18, 2018, Central Philadelphia Development Corporation hosted a panel discussion with business leaders (noted below) and asked them to highlight both the opportunities for more dynamic job growth in 2019 and the challenges and hurdles that Philadelphia needs to overcome to capitalize on these opportunities.
Paul R. Levy, Executive Director of the Central Philadelphia Development Corporation, set the context for the discussion by highlighting the significant progress that has been made in the last two decades, presenting comparative data about recent job trends in Philadelphia and some of our peer cities, while putting Philadelphia’s poverty challenge in a regional context.
