Today's performer: Jared Alston
Jared Leigh Alston is a native of the Greater Philadelphia area and began playing piano at the age of five. His early musical development began in his father’s church playing traditional hymns, choir selections, and teaching vocal choir parts. Jared is a graduate of Temple University’s Boyer College of Music with a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance. Through Temple, he acquired the opportunity to be a musical feature on Season 3 of ABC’s “Madame Secretary”.
Jared is a recurring pianist for Kim Sledge, singer of the female group, Sister Sledge. He also Serves as the Musical Director of Epiphany Fellowship Church in North Philadelphia.
When Jared is not performing publicly, he is actively recording various side projects and has had the opportunity to work with many talented artists in and around the Philadelphia region, including America’s Got Talent’s Season One winner, Bianca Ryan and well as Eban Brown, Former Lead Singer of the Stylistics.
Jared continues to live by his mother’s philosophy, “Good better best; never let it rest. Until your good is better, and your better is best”.
