Center City District (CCD) is ramping up its year-round programming in Dilworth Park with our annual “grand finale” of winter events and attractions starting in November.
With Broadway blockbusters, world-class exhibits and local favorites, Center City offers something for everyone.
To support the recovery of Center City retailers and restaurants, Center City District (CCD) will be promoting Shop Center City Saturdays this fall. Beginning Saturday, September 18, dozens of local businesses, as well as national brands, will offer exclusive discounts and giveaways every Saturday for 5 weeks, ending on October 16. These all-day shopping and dining promotions will be accompanied by larger-scale anchor events throughout the district.
As the weather cools down in Philadelphia, the fun heats up at CCD Parks. Center City District has plenty in store to celebrate autumn in the city.
From pop-up shops and markets to an eclectic mix of contemporary retailers, and independent boutiques, Center City’s lively urban setting creates a diverse, ever-changing destination that attracts shoppers seeking the ultimate holiday experience in the region.
This edition of the CCD and CPDC quarterly newsletter contains a picture gallery of the work of our staff keeping sidewalks clean and buildings graffiti free; stories about the remarkable things our CSRs do every day of the week to assist pedestrians downtown; and our work in partnership with Project Home to connect those living on the street with services and shelter.
Center City District offers ice skating, outdoor dining and cold weather fun through February 2022! Beginning this November, visitors of all ages can enjoy a dramatic seasonal transformation as fountains are replaced by the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and reindeer topiaries take up winter residence on the Greenfield Lawn. In addition, a full lineup of free entertainment is planned, including the Deck the Hall Light Show, the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market and Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin.
This spring and summer, Sister Cities Park at 18th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway will be offering a variety of exciting events, from BYOB summer barbeques with live music in the evenings to children’s art, science and nature programs.
The holiday season may have ended, but winter fun remains at Dilworth Park! Center City District (CCD) will continue to offer the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin through February 27 and the Wintergarden on the Greenfield Lawn presented by TD Bank will remain open until April 3. A full calendar of free events is planned for guests of all ages.
