Discover Center City District’s guide to the regions must-see retail and dining district
With temperatures telling us that summer is approaching, Center City District Parks are welcoming visitors with a full schedule of events and seasonal amenities. Beginning June 1 through the end of August, expect everything from dancing fountains and sprawling lawns to art installations and a splashing pond, plus outdoor concerts, educational programming and movies under the stars.
Center City District (CCD) looks ahead to fall with a full lineup of free-to-attend programs starting in September at Dilworth Park, Sister Cities Park and Cret Park, including activities for families, the return of Harvest Weekend and the popular Hay Maze in Dilworth Park.
Center City District announces the return of The Garden, a weekend-long celebration of summer that adds to Dilworth Park’s greenery, flowers and brightly colored artwork. Beginning Friday, June 10 through Sunday, June 12, expect live performances, activities for families and free admission for everyone.
The Center City District seeks to commission local musicians, DJs and crafters to participate in various public programs at Dilworth Park and Sister Cities Park throughout 2020. Interested applicants 21 and older should complete the Open Call submission form. Applications will be accepted until January 31, 2020 at 3 p.m.
On Wednesday, December 15, CPDC hosted a virtual membership meeting to review the CCD/CPDC’s December monthly update, Monitoring Philadelphia’s Economic Recovery and discuss with industry leaders the current status and future prospects for Center City’s office, health care, technology, retail and residential sectors.
