Philadelphia’s robust network of arts & culture organizations, large and small, will be celebrated every week as they perform in the center of the city. Shows will range from orchestral serenades and ballet ensembles to jazz instrumentals and beyond. In support of local restaurants, guests are encouraged to dine al fresco with takeout meals from nearby eateries. A special menu will be offered at the Air Grille, and cocktails made with Maker’s Mark Bourbon and Michelob Ultra Organic Seltzer will be available for purchase to guests 21 and older to enjoy within designated areas in the park. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets or chairs, as seating is limited.

Tonight, the Opera Philadelphia returns to Dilworth Park with a concert of music written and performed by women: Anything You Can Do I, I Can Do Better: A Celebration of Women in Song. 16 women from the Opera Philadelphia Chorus will perform a variety of solos, duets, and ensemble selections from opera, musical theater, and more. Expect a variety of music from female composers as well as male-composed songs for strong female characters, like Bizet’s Carmen and Violetta from Verdi’s La traviata, plus a few surprises! Composers featured include Philadelphia’s own Jennifer Higdon, Sara Bareilles, and Marsha Norman (The Secret Garden).
