Philadelphia’s robust network of arts & culture organizations will be celebrated every week as they perform in the center of the city. Supported by PNC Bank, the shows will range from orchestral serenades and ballet ensembles to jazz instrumentals and beyond. Attendance is free for all, but seating in the Greenfield Lawn is limited. Bring-your-own blanket or chair encouraged.
Tonight's performer, The Lady Hoofers Tap Ensemble, produces original works of choreography while preserving the tradition of improvisation in American rhythm tap, bringing innovative percussive dance to local audiences.
This evening, enjoy the ensemble’s First Company and Apprentice dancers. The 60-minute concert will include the world premiere of "Songs from the Sole" choreographed by Guest Artist Robyn Watson, as well as a selection of company repertory and interactive rhythm games for children and the young at heart. This performance is supported with funds from Philadelphia Cultural Fund and PA Council on the Arts.
