Octoberfest is a fantastic 3-day festival that celebrates the whimsy of autumn with all the trimmings! For the first time, guests of all ages can participate in a free apple pressing and cider making demonstration with educators from the Wissahickon Environmental Center. Returning this year, the popular stein hoisting competition, judged by Christina Dowd, executive director of Philly Loves Beer, will kick off at 4:30 p.m. A delicious seasonal menu of traditional favorites like bratwurst and Bavarian pretzels will be offered throughout the weekend. These and other refreshments will be available in the Air Grille and pop-up beer tent, along with fall-inspired cocktails made with Maker’s Mark bourbon and seasonal brews like Victory Brewing Company’s Festbier and Goose Island.Local DJs and bands will perform daily on The Met Philadelphia stage. Don’t forget to snap a photo in front of festive backdrops and fall décor!
