State of Center City Preview - Unemployment

Job growth has been sufficient to lower the formal rate of unemployment, but not enough to get Philadelphia back to 1990 job levels or reduce the city’s high poverty rate. Despite recent growth, Philadelphia still has 5% fewer jobs than in 1990, while our suburbs are up 26%. We can turn this around.
