Meet Nick Bayer

What do you do for a living?
Founder/CEO of Saxbys

What do most love about your job?
As an unapologetic people person, my favorite part of my job is interacting with our team members and guests. I try to spend half of my time in my cafés – showing support for our teams and hearing guest suggestions.

"My favorite article of clothing? My only suit - an amazing navy suit from Suitsupply."

Describe your go-to look:
Well fitted jeans, tailored button down shirt with a trim blazer with a pocket square.

Favorite drink:
By day: A 4 shot iced Americano at Saxbys. By night: Dry vodka martini or Old Fashioned from Vernick.

What is on your bookshelf?
Setting the Table – the most important and applicable business book I’ve ever read.

How would you spend a perfect day in Center City?
Early morning coffee at Saxbys Rittenhouse to do a little work or pilates at Thrive Pilates, followed by family breakfast at Parc. Then I would take my son, Luke, to The Franklin Institute and tacos at either El Rey or Revolution Taco. We also enjoy family time in Taney Park and walking the Schuylkill Trail. I would end the day having dinner with my wife, Hally, at Vernick with an after dinner walk through and around Rittenhouse Square and maybe even a quick treat from Capogiro!

"My favorite places to shop in Center City are Uniqlo, Born Yesterday (3 year old son!), Banana Republic Outlet, lululemon, Suitsupply and Nordstrom Rack."

Favorite places to eat in Center City:
Vernick, Double Knot, honeygrow, Parc and Di Bruno Bros.

Favorite places to drink in Center City:
Vernick, Franklin Mortgage, Butcher Bar and Mission Taqueria

Favorite Center City hidden gem:
Sister Cities Park – it’s amazing and my son absolutely loves playing in the fountains.
