Summer Concert Series Makes Lunch Lively in Center City
(June 4, 2012) — Center City has its own relaxed style of enjoying summer, and the Center City District Lunchtime Concert Series Presented by TD Bank is part of the fun!
Beginning this Wednesday, June 6, and continuing each Wednesday through August 29, these concerts will be popping up at various locations throughout Center City. The series features lively bands representing a broad range of musical genres – Latin, salsa, reggae, pop, blues, jazz, and more. Bands play 90 minutes, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Every week the locations change and, if it rains, there’s an indoor venue, so plan on leaving the office rain or shine!
This year’s debut concert Wednesday will be at 1601 Market Street, featuring the bouncing Cajun rhythms of Alligator Zydeco. Rain location is Reading Terminal Market at 12th and Filbert Streets. Enjoy a summer filled with music!
