The Best Part of Summer Returns: Center City District Sips!

PHILADELPHIA (May 11, 2012) – One of the best parts of summer in the city returns this year on Wednesday, June 6! It's the weekly Center City District Sips, and this year it's even bigger and better! Every Wednesday through August 29, more than 85 outstanding bars and restaurants will offer $5 cocktails, $4 wine, $3 beer and half-priced appetizers from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with some establishments even offering a 15% dinner discount after 7 p.m.

Brand new this summer is the easy-access CCD Sips mobile website, m.CenterCityPhila.org, where you’ll find a list of participating bars, their specials and a map of the bars closest to you. And you'll most assuredly want to enter our summer-long contest at CCDSips.com or m.CenterCityPhila.org for a chance to win five $50 gift certificates — an entire week of happy hours! On July 4th, more than half of the participating bars and restaurants will be open and serving up Sips specials, so stop by before the fireworks!

Sponsored by Don Q Rum, Center City District Sips is a great way to relax after work with your friends, or meet new people in new places you haven't yet tried. Mark your calendars and follow us on Twitter @CCDSips for all the latest CCD Sips info, or go to m.CenterCityPhila.org, or the Center City District website at www.centercityphila.org/life/SipsPartic.php.

Tell your friends! Make a date! Center City District Sips is what summer in the city is all about. (You must be at least 21 years old to participate.)
