Center City District Restaurant Week Heats Up This January
PHILADELPHIA, PA (January 8, 2015) – Twice a year, Philadelphians are invited to continue exploring the ever-expanding culinary scene of Philadelphia with Center City District Restaurant Week, an opportunity to visit over 100 restaurants for an array of amazing cuisine at a fixed price. Mark your calendars for January 18-23 and January 25-30, 2015 when CCD Restaurant Week returns!
After a busy day or night of exploring all that Center City has to offer this winter, Philadelphians can wine and dine at the city’s hottest restaurants for a special fixed price of $35.00 for dinner and $20.00 for lunch at select participating restaurants. A lunch or dinner during CCD Restaurant Week is the perfect way to escape the cold after hitting Center City’s hottest ice rinks and retail destinations.
This fall, CCD Restaurant Week brought nearly 200,000 diners to local downtown restaurants and eateries for ten days in September. Participating restaurants ranged from small bistros to large steakhouses, adventurous ethnic menus to chef-driven hot spots (see full list of participating restaurants below). The palate of Philadelphians has truly adapted to the booming and unique culinary scene, and CCD Restaurant Week’s wide-variety of participants assures that there is something for every taste.
“The winter of 2014 was full of snowstorms and unpredictable weather and we found that shoppers and diners were reluctant to explore all the city has to offer. The two weeks of restaurant week however, were lucrative for participating restaurants and we saw an influx of activity during those weeks,” said Michelle Shannon, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Center City District. “This winter we project that locals will flock to hot tables throughout the city yet again. CCD Restaurant Week grows every year with more and more interest from consumers and restaurants alike. It has been amazing to see this promotion expand over the years and to watch the restaurants and other downtown businesses work together to provide locals and visitors with the best experience possible.”
January’s CCD Restaurant Week will feature more than 100 restaurants offering signature three-course dinners for only $35.00 per person with select restaurants additionally featuring a three-course lunch for $20.00 per guest *not including tax, gratuity, or alcohol. Reduced parking rates for guests of Center City District Restaurant Week are available at Philadelphia area parking facilities and a full list and map are available on centercityphila.org/RestaurantWeek.
Reservations are going fast for these special menus during this two-week period in January.
