Dilworth Plaza Renovation Project

The renovation of Dilworth Plaza on the west side of City Hall is scheduled to begin in Fall 2011, with completion scheduled for 2014. Once completed, this plaza will be transformed into an extraordinary destination with amenities for residents, workers and visitors to enjoy. This flexible space will provide:

• A green civic space with amenities including a café with indoor and outdoor seating, and an interactive fountain animated by public art.
• A gathering place to enjoy a variety of activities including concerts, special events, public markets and winter ice-skating.
• A signature gateway to the region's underground transportation network.
• A celebration of the history of William Penn's Center Square, City Hall, and Philadelphia's Mayor Richardson Dilworth.

Dilworth Plaza is leased by the City of Philadelphia to the Center City District, which will be responsible for managing, maintaining and programming the space.

If you are a general contractor interested in the Dilworth Plaza Renovation Project, you can register to receive the appropriate bid documents at www.centercityphila.org/dilworth.
